Custom Monoclonal Antibodies
When you need antibodies to a unique target, it can be time consuming and frustrating to find a commercial product or rely on a traditional antibody production method that requires immunization of animals. With our animal-free, in vitro monoclonal antibody production service you can get high quality antibodies fast and for a low cost.
We offer a full range of services to Custom Monoclonal Antibodies antibodies from an antigen supplied by investigators. Our scientists use mouse and rabbit hybridomas to make a single antibody against the antigen of interest, then clone the resulting antibody generating a single monoclonal antibody (mAb). Investigator-selected positive mAb lines are tested by standard ELISA, and then moved to serum-free culture.
Monoclonal Antibody Production: Our Process Explained
Some mAbs can block proteins that send signals to cancer cells, so they can’t grow and divide. These types of mAbs are classed as monoclonal antibodies that treat cancer (also known as immunotherapy). Others can carry cancer drugs or radioactive substances and deliver them directly to cancer cells. These are called conjugated mAbs and are also classed as a type of targeted cancer drug or immunotherapy. Rituximab is an example of a conjugated mAb.
Other mAbs can bring immune cells that recognise and destroy cancer cells closer together. These mAbs are called T cell engagers. Researchers are working on mAbs that can bind with more than one target at the same time. This brings different parts of the immune system closer together and makes it easier for them to destroy cancer cells.…
